In America, the age of two is often referred to as the "terrible two's." This is because two year olds are often learning to gain more independence. Many times, they try to defy their parents, and say "NO" "MINE" and the like loudly & repeatedly. However, this time can also be called the "Terrific Two's" because of the many new things that two year olds are learning. Our goal as parents should be to train these two year olds to be the kind of children, and later adults that we would like for them to be. Do not be discouraged by the "terrible two's", but rather use that time as learning and focus on the "terrific two's".
